Step inside the private studio of renowned multidisciplinary artist Thomas Bucich for a full-day intensive that will ignite your creativity and introduce you to the timeless art of lost wax bronze sculpting.
Whether you're a curious beginner or a practicing artist, this hands-on workshop offers a rare opportunity to work directly with wax — and walk away with a sculptural form ready for professional casting in bronze.
What You’ll Experience:
- Personalised Instruction in an intimate setting (limited numbers for maximum guidance) 
- Inspiration on Tap in a working artist’s studio nestled in the picturesque Southern Highlands 
- Expert Technique & Process – from base form building to texture and finishing 
- Real Results – create a finished wax sculpture ready to be cast in bronze 
Workshop Covers:
- Core steps of the lost wax sculpting process 
- Sculpting for structural integrity and aesthetic impact 
- How to sculpt one-off works without moulds 
- Understanding editioning and mould use (demonstration only – no moulding in this session) 
- Your completed wax sculpture will be professionally cast at Crawfords Casting, Sydney 
 (Bronze casting begins at approx. $250, invoiced separately after your piece is assessed)
Important Notes:
- This class is ideal for small-scale works (10–30cm in height) 
- Bring a project idea or reach out beforehand if you'd like to focus on something specific 
- All materials provided – just bring curiosity, creativity, and clothes you can get messy in 
- BYO lunch (studio is 10 min from Berrima) – coffee, tea & snacks provided 
- Exact studio address provided after booking
